Check Valve and Bond Beam Break – Turning Leak Detections Into Repair Work

In this episode of Turning Leak Detections Into Repair Work, we see a leak detection that no equipment in the world would have found – and this is why training is so important!

The raised spa on this pool was running into the pool itself, and there was a long bond beam break ABOVE the skimmer. It was above the water line. Performing a standard leak detection did not find the leak as the water did not reach the bond beam break when the pool was in static mode. (everything off).

The equipment had a bad check valve that overflowed the spa, causing the water to overfill the pool, bringing the water to the level of the bond beam break and causing water to leak. Ultimately, this is how we found the leak, and with inspection training from LeakTronics, you will too.
