Static Testing Cones

LeakTronics Professional Static Test Cones are used to test lines in swimming pools and spas without the need to pressure test the line. The cone-shaped body fits any piping material (copper, PVC, PEX, Poly, galvanized pipes, etc) up to 2 inches in diameter.

When testing multiple lines that are tied together to a single source, place one of each cone in each line at the structure. Place the cap on the cone with the hole at the bottom, and insert the cone into the last pipe. Put dye in the front of the hole. If the dye is pulled in, there is a leak in one of the lines. If the dye simply lingers in front of the hole or is pushed away from the pipe, this indicates that a leak does not exist in the lines being tested. If you determine there is a positive pull, the next step is to pinpoint the leak in the line using your LeakTronics Leak Detection Equipment.
