Damming Technique to Find A Leak

In this episode of Turning Leak Detection Into Repair Work, we are at a Pool/Spa Combo in Agoura Hills, CA. The spa has a leak that appears above the water line in the spa.

To get the water level up to the area where we are going to dye test the leak, we use a technique called “Damming.” Saturating and laying down two beach towels, we create a dam that will hold the water level back from spilling over the edge of the spa and with a limited window, we dye test and confirm the leak.
